Job Description

As an Associate DBA on our team, you'll maintain and support our database servers (MS SQL 2012) and database applications (CareVoyant, Intellicred, MS Dynamics CRM, Great Plains, Knowledge Presenter, SharePoint and custom SQL based applications). You'll also maintain test environments and manages the application upgrade cycle through testing and evaluating impact on SQL based integrations. You will work with SSMS, SSIS and SSRS; and with T-SQL, interpreting stored procedures, triggers, jobs and scripts for support and performance optimization. Our Associate DBA must be comfortable writing queries, managing SQL backups and restores as well as SQL maintenance. The Associate DBA will be responsible for SQL server performance, configuration, backups, security, log management and upgrades to SQL server and associated applications.

Additional responsibilities will include maintaining documentation on workflows, maintenance and systems integrations; managing vendors, licensing and maintenance agreements; Windows Server and VMware administration, clustering and DR; triaging support requests for escalation to the development team; support for compliance discovery, auditing and planning.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with systems administration and support including:

  • Windows Server 2008 and later configuration and support

  • Active Directory rights management

  • MS SQL 2012 and later configuration and support

  • VMware and/or MS HyperVisor server provisioning and administration

  • Technical troubleshooting methodology and documentation

  • Customer service in the context of supporting business users

  • Proficiency with Visio and workflow documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Azure administration and support

  • T-SQL coding of Stored Procedures, Triggers and Functions, Jobs and Scripts

  • MS SQL and Windows Server clustering

  • Experience with HIPAA and/or SOX compliance and audit management

  • Experience with ADFS

  • Experience with MS Dynamics CRM

  • Experience with CareVoyant and/or medical billing

  • Experience with SSRS

  • MS SharePoint configuration and support

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent Certifications (MTA, MCSA, MCSE)
